Team Nigma Merge with Galaxy Racer
Team Nigma have merged with Galaxy Racer, an esports organization from United Arab Emirates. The team will retain some form of independency, having its own budget and management. However, its name will be changed from Team Nigma to Nigma Galaxy.
Galaxy Racer is one of the biggest esports organizations in the MENA region (Middle East, North Africa and South-East Asia) that host rosters in multiple games, including CS:GO, League of Legends, VALORANT, and even Dota 2. However, none of them are on the level of Team Nigma. Besides that, the organization also works with content creators and tournament organizers.
Team Nigma was formed in 2019 by former Team Liquid players and the champions of The International 2017. This year the team competed in the DPC’s upper bracket, placing 3rd in both seasons. They also attended both majors, finishing 16th at ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 and 5-6th WePlay AniMajor. The team failed to qualify for The International 10, losing to OG in the lower finals of the closed qualifiers.
