Next CS:GO Major to be Held by PGL this Fall in Stockholm

The Romanian tournament operator PGL has announced that the company will host the next official major CS:GO event this fall in Sweden. The tournament is scheduled for October 23rd – November 7th and will feature a $2,000,000 prize pool.

The tournament’s playoffs stage is planned to be held at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm a 16,000-capacity arena which earlier was supposed to host the cancelled The International 2020. The organizers note that the tournament will be held only “if all safety conditions to hold live competitive events are met by that time”. The major will the broadcasted in 4k resolution with 60 frames per second, while its broadcast will include augmented reality elements, custom HUD and more.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 will be the first major since StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, which took place on August 23rd – September 8th, 2019. The major’s participants will be determined based on the series of RMR events.
