Groups for LCS Lock-In 2022 Revealed
The groups for the upcoming event LCS Lock-In 2022 have been drafted by the Summer 2021 finalists, 100 Thieves and Team Liquid. Ten teams have been seeded into two groups as follows:
- Group A: Team Liquid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, Dignitas, Immortals
- Group B: 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest, Golden Guardians, TSM
The group stage will follow a round-robin format. Top four teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket, where they will face the teams from the opposing group. The quarterfinals will be best-of-five, while the semifinals and grand finals will be best-of-five.
LCS Lock-In 2020 will be played in Los Angeles from January 14th to 30th. Its prize pool is set at $150,000, the entirety of which will go to the tournament’s winner. While the Lock-In does not have any impact on the regular season of the league, it is the first time fans are able to watch their teams with updated rosters.
