Eighth Season of D2CL Announced
While the seventh season of Dota 2 Champions League is only reaching its conclusion, Epic Esports Events have already announced the league’s next season. The eighth iteration of the event will be played online from February 21st to March 13th.
The organizers have already revealed twelve teams that received direct invites to the event: they are Alliance, Hydra, B8 Esports, Team Empire, Gambit Esports, Entity Gaming, Nemiga Gaming, Mind Games, AS Monaco Gambit, No Sorry, Lilgun and HellRaisers. Another two teams will qualify for the event through the open qualifiers.
Two best teams of the ongoing season will be invited directly to the next season’s playoffs stage, alongside another two teams. As previously, the prize pool will be $50,000.
The league’s current season will conclude on February 17th. There later today Entity will face Gladiators in the upper bracket finals, while HellRaisers will compete with Nemiga in the fourth lower bracket round.
