DreamHack Open: Extra Salt and Party Astronauts Advance to Playoffs

Party Astronauts and Extra Salt have placed first in their groups at DreamHack Open June: North America, advancing to the tournament’s playoffs stage. Extra Salt managed to defeat Triumph and GODSENT, both with a 2-0 score, while Astronauts outplayed RGB and paiN with 2-1 scores.

The group stage will conclude later tonight. First, paiN Gaming will face RGB Esports in the decider match of Group A, which is scheduled for 8:00 PM UK time. Then we will witness a Brazilian derby between GODSENT and O Plano, which will begin on 11:30 PM.

The North American division of DreamHack Open June 2021 is being played online on June 29th – July 3rd, featuring eight teams competing for a $70,000 prize pool. Triumph and Third Impact, who advanced to the event through the qualifier, have already been eliminated and received $1,500 each. The playoffs stage will follow a single-elimination format with best-of-three semifinals and best-of-five grand finals.
