Chaos Withdraw from IEM Global Challenge and Disband Prematurely
Chaos Esports Club has announced their CS:GO squad, which earlier was planned to be released by the end of the year, will not be able to participate in the upcoming IEM Global Challenge “due to unexpected health reasons”. ESL have replaced them with the German squad BIG.
Chaos EC revealed their plans to release their CS:GO roster last week. Despite decent results, the organization found it financially disadvantageously to maintain the roster. The organization is also looking for ways to sell their Rainbow Six: Siege roster and will switch their focus to content creation.
IEM XV – Global Challenge begins already next week, on December 15th. The event will feature eight teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. You can learn more about the event from our recent piece.
