Boxi Returns to Liquid, SumaiL is a Free Agent Once Again
Team Liquid’s coach William "Blitz" Lee has announced that the team’s original offlaner, Samuel "Boxi" Svahn, is ready to return to competition and will participate in the upcoming qualifiers for The International 10. Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, who has been replacing Boxi for the last two months, is once again a free agent.
SumaiL joined Team Liquid in April to stand-in for Boxi, who decided to take a break to spent time with his family. This happened during the second season of the DPC league, where the team eventually managed to place second and advanced to the group stage of WePlay AniMajor. There the team placed second last and was eliminated without receiving neither prize money nor DPC points.
As Team Liquid acquired only 400 DPC points throughout two seasons, they will not receive a direct invite for The International 10 and instead will play in the regional qualifiers. As revealed last week, the Western European qualifiers will be played on July 7th – 10th. Only one team will qualify for the year’s main event.
