BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Rescheduled due to RMR Events

BLAST have decided to reschedule BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2022 due to the announcement of the upcoming RMR events. The event has been pushed back by a week and now will be held on April 27th – May 1st, instead of the initial April 20th – 24th.

Showdown is the second event in the BLAST’s spring season – there sixteen teams will compete for a $135,000 prize pool, but more importantly, for the final two invites to the seasonal finale, which will be played in June and will feature a $425,000 prize pool. Among confirmed participants of the Showdown event are MIBR, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis, Complexity, Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses.

Last week PGL announced that the upcoming Regional Major Rankings will be held from April 17th to 24th in Bucharest, Romania. While the previous six regions have been combined into three, factually there will be four events, two for Europe and one for America and Asia.
